Snaps from Shanghai

Several years ago, we took a trip to China with my husband's family and my mother. I'm going to throw a few handfuls of photos from that trip up here for fun and I'm going to start with a few snaps from Shanghai. The first three photos are from one of the gardens (or just outside the entrance in the case of the first photo).

These next photos are both from the same temple.

Gee, thanks! :)

More gorgeous shots - I love it! The detail in the third one of the points from the roof frames it beautifully.

Glad that you like it. I have quite a few roofline shots because the architecture is so fluid.

tammie jean-

Thanks! It was a really interesting trip. China is so darn big, though and it would take several more trips to even begin to cover all the interesting places that there are to see.

Very beautiful Velvet Girl! I assume these were pre-digital era so you scanned them in?

Yes, they're back from the ancient days of film. Our scanner has been very useful. :)

Heart-

Thank you for the compliments. I'm blushing (I never took compliments very well).

China really was an experience and I'm really glad that we got to go. My mother has been back to some of the same places in the years since we took this trip and she says that it's gotten even nicer in the past few years. I would love to see it again some day.
